What’s in the Queue?
I’ve been busy with research for nonfiction themes like land conservation, habitat loss and citizen science. Different angles to these themes are percolating in my head and I will have an “ah-ha” moment when just the right voice, structure, and hook come to mind. But it feels like it’s time for a humorous picture book to bubble up for a change of pace. I’ve recently started writing shorter stories for the children’s magazine market as a means of honing my writing skills and building my bio. I ‘m also very excited about using rhyme to tell stories about nature’s creatures (rhyming feels like solving math equations, which I love).
What I’d like to write about someday
Stories involving house wrens, mice, cardinals, and British Soldier lichens.
